Hi, i'm 14 years old and I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.
I'm looking to earn a bit of money because, well, i've got none
I'm going on a school trip to Italy in October, and im in desperate need of money to help pay for the actual trip, spending money, and money for necessities to take on the trip. I'm open to all kinds of work, such as shop and restaurant work, babysitting, and even car washing!
Any help or even offers would be much appreciated.
Thankyou Smile

Yeah, you're in one of the tougher parts of England for work, but there are ways around this problem, particularly if you're prepared to do what's available.

This is a job site review I did for Newcastle a while back:

http://www.cvtips.com/career_advice_forum/job-site-reviews-newcastle-uk-vt9132.html

You're too young to go for these jobs, but they'll give you a clue to who's hiring, so you could contact them directly. (Don't wear out the mobile on these calls. Use a landline, so you don't wind up with a phone bill instead of a job.) Many of these sites are worked out by location around Newcastle, too, so you can easily find the ones that are close by.

Legally, you can't do some jobs, but basic casual work is another matter. If you've got parental permission, you can work as a casual in shops, local businesses, etc., without too much difficulty.

Suggestion: Try and get a job where you can learn some work skills, to make it easier to get work a few years from now, when you need it.
