Dear all,
I would like to ask for your help in what would be the best way to represent my educational career in my CV.
A simplified version of my education would look like below in my CV:
2008 - PhD at University C
2007 - PhD at University A
2005 - 2007 MA at University A
2006 - BA at University B
2002-2005 BA at University A
My problem is that after finishing my BA at University A, I started a Masters at the same university, but meanwhile I realized that I would also like to study something else. So, I started another BA at Universtiy B simultaneously with my Masters at A. However, I never had the time to finish it because I had a wonderful job offer that I couldn't reject and I didn't have time to pursue Masters, Bachelor studies and work at the same time.
After completing my Masters at University A, I applied for a PhD program at this university but after one year, I saw another great possibility - in the form of another PhD program- and took it.
Therefore, in my educational career, I have two unfinished programs which I am not very likely to finish at all. However, I would not like to make the reader of my CV believe that I am indesicive, or that I don't know what I want to do, because completely the opposite is the truth, I applied for the first BA because I wanted to learn more, I was aware that it was not likely that I would finish it, but I thought that anything I could learn is something that I gain. In the case of the 1st PhD program, however, I had thought I would finish it but I saw a better opportunity and moved on to that.
How could I include these in my CV? I would not like to leave them out as I am sure that e.g. the unfinished natural sciences BA would greatly complement my social sciences BA.
Thank you very much for your help. |
