| I'll try to be brief. My boss is does not communicate with me whatsoever and it is affecting my performance and evaluations. My last evaluation was based on the input of other employees and while I evidenced several items that were unfounded, he refused to change the evaluation. The last straw was that people under me went to him to complain against workload stress, etc I created in the department and they had a meeting without my presence. Even though I have consistantly given sound business cases for the need for additional employees in my department, my boss has for the most part ignored them. In one instance he ran a good potential employee away by forcing me to offer less than what was fair. Consequently, my boss amended my evaluation and stated that there were significan managerial issues in my department. This was despite the fact that he never met with me to get my view on the issues and actually REFUSED....yes REFUSED (and I have a witness) to hear me out on the subject of this meeting with my people. So instead of supporting me and telling my people staffing is short (money) and they need to handle the stress, he threw me under the bus as a convenient scapegoat. Now, do you think I have the right to complain to a higher authority? I know it will start a war, but what else can I do? Thanks for your input!!! I'm tired or working for this idiot! |
