This is tricky. There's a risk factor. Ownership has changed, but management may still be in place. Suggest you check out who's running what there, before making an application. If that's not a problem, go ahead.

If you're sure you're not going to be challenged on a historical basis, or old issues aren't going to open up again, this could work.

You can say:

1. You formerly worked in the position. You have the skills and experience. You make it clear there's no question of your ability to do the work.

2. You had a problem with previous management, and were terminated. That will be on their records anyway. This approach kills off any suggestion you're dodging the subject.

If it's an issue, you'll at least get an answer Yes or No. If Yes, it's no longer an issue, they've OK'd your application. If No, it saves you a lot of time and effort making an application that goes nowhere.

One point to consider: If there are still any remaining issues, with people or your employment record, this might not be a great job.

This is really a good article.I have been applying all over Houston since June of this year. I had one interview with Texas Children's Hospital. Never heard back. Very frustrating. I have been told by a Radiology Director in the Houston area to start calling the human resource offices of the places that you are applying to. He had never received my app and I applied numerous times. But when i read this article i got a great information as it helped me to get that job back http://www.videoslots.it
