Sorry about the edit, but we make a point of protecting our members from abuse, nuisances, and scams. We've had a few experiences with pests, and it's too late to do anything afterwards.
The idea is that an employer sees your post, and responds with a verifiable site, contact, etc., so you can be sure they're who and what they say they are.
We check these things, too, and look out for scams. In your line of work, you're creating valuable product, and we can tell you if you're being bothered by a turkey or not. I come from an advertising background, including commercial art in the family, and I can tell you the need is for paying customers. Time wasters also need to enthusiastically avoided.
What you've got here is a good start at a portfolio. In many cases, when applying for jobs, you can include your purely creative stuff, too, it's often a job getter.
If you have a look at the graphics job ads, you'll find you're in the right place for your skills. Your work is industry standard, good clean stuff with no mess or frills, and you would get interest from advertising agencies looking to outsource. There is quite a demand, and natural interest in the industry, which is always looking for content and above all quality. You can cold canvass very effectively in this field, and you can get a lot of useful information with a phone call or an interview.
(The phone call will be yes or no regarding work, but a brief conversation can tell you a lot.)
You also have a big advantage in this line of work. You can work freelance, contract, and salaried jobs, simultaneously, if you can keep it all organized and hit deadlines reliably. The money is excellent, and having multiple income streams reduces the stress levels, a lot. |

So do you think, what I do is good enough to get the job I want?
I'm desperate , in my country the part-time posittions are too little, and right now I can't get a full time job.
I'll be thankful for any suggestions , or anything that will be helpful for me to have better chances for finding a job. |

Think about telecommuting jobs. You can work anywhere on Earth. If you can email it, you can get paid for it. I work in four different time zones myself. I've worked in Shanghai, London, New York, Vancouver, and that was just last year. Anything which can be digitized and sold can be turned into a job.
Actually, get it right, and you can do a lot better than a full time job. All you need is a PayPal account, and patience. Hence the suggestion about doing combinations of work and creating multiple income streams.
Your quality of work is good, and it's salable anywhere. I've been in the industry since I was a kid. I was literally born in an advertising agency, my father was a professional commercial artist, and you do have the potentials.
So use them!
Get the jobs, get the contracts. Check out the pro sites for jobs, and see what's available.
Note: Not sure which country you're in, but if it's preventing you getting gigs, might be time to move on. |

| I live in Bulgaria. The sallaries in my country are very low, so I constantly search for part-time jobs all over the world, but in 99% of the cases, the jobs wich I find, are just one big lie and waste of time. |

Try Paris, London or Berlin. Check out anything you find online with scams. You do have the talent, it's obviously not getting a lot of room to move in Bulgaria. |

Thank you for the advices Pauloz . I follow all of them with no success
I also look at the most popular telecommuting sites - some of them want to pay for registration, and except that all the jobs are for people from USA and Canada only. I searched for hours yesterday and NOTHNIG.
Please, if you can - send me links for aviable positions... something like retouching , photo editing ,graphic design , banner design, data entry... just something that is REAL opportunity for me. I'm a hard worker and all I want is just a chance to prove myself. |

Check this out: Design and Multimedia tab on the home page.
http://www.elance.com/
I work on Elance, and it's all legitimate contract work. You have to pay a subscription fee (use PayPal, you'll need an account to work on Elance anyway) and do a test to work on the site, but this is all bona fide work, and there definitely will be something for you.
Make sure you understand how the contracts work, what escrow is, and you can ask Elance if you get stuck.
If you check out the job ads, you'll see this is a bidding system, but don't get put off by that. You'll get a budget range, and you just bid within the client's budget. A lot of pros use Elance, and you can build up a respectable portfolio.
Also check out what rights you're signing over to the client. In most cases, they buy your work, but also buy the rights to it. That may or may not be OK, with work you want to keep for your own purposes.
You've already got what you need to work on Elance, in terms of the Adobe stuff, etc., so you'll be up to speed on the technical requirements.
As you can see, this is a big money site, $204 million worth of contracts. It's the original and the best of the freelancer sites, and it's very well organized. I got several gigs pretty quickly, and it's good training for working in the wider market, you'll learn a lot.
Get back to me on this thread if you have any problems, or need help with any of this stuff. |
