I have heard both good and bad things about CV Consultancies, so I was quite reticent to get my own CV reviewed or written by them, there are so many out there, so where do you start?

I tried one company who were terrible, I suppose that I should have known because of the very cheap prices that they offered. Extremely unprofessional and their grammar was much worse than mine! There are very expensive companies out there too who will charge hundreds of pounds which I think is totally unnecessary and in all honesty I would beware of them because they can't possibly write you a much better CV than a more reasonable company can. Has anyone had any experience with any of these expensive CV Consultancies?

I then was recommended a UK based CV Consultancy ( they can also write resumes) by a friend and was pleasantly surprised. They were friendly and helpful and always professional. They were quick with their responses and my finished CV was really impressive. Their prices were extremely reasonable too so I was glad to come across a company who actually cares about its clients and strives to give you the best chance. They also have other useful services to help you with finding a job. Their job finder service is excellent and I used it too, it cut out so many hours of unproductive searching. These people really know what they are talking about.

You can see their website at www.cv4me.webs.com and they are called cv4me.

I just wanted to share my experience with you guys as they really helped me. Good luck with the job hunting!
