| I am looking for a job in my field, IT within the United Kingdom, preferably in London or ner Essex. I need sponsor in order to work in UK and was wondering how to find one , I would even be willing to do other jobs (secraterial, restaurant, opare, etc.) in order to work in UK, my BF lives there and I really want to live and work in the UK and be able to do it on my own and not have to move our wedding day up just to get a work visa to work. |

This process can be a bit "chicken and egg". You need a sponsor, but someone has to know you exist, to get a sponsor.
Your best shots are:
Contacts in the UK. If you know people in the IT area in the UK, your chances are much improved.
Cold canvassing. You can apply for jobs, and if successful, your employer can become a sponsor.
Important: you're advised to check with employers and inform them of the situation, prior to lodging an application.
The problem here is that both approaches take time. Contacts are a lot quicker, but if you're working on any set of dates, you'll need to balance your commitments to those dates, while trying to get work.
That's not the best option, because you can take on commitments which interfere with each other, when they should be supporting each other.
The big danger here is wasting time. You need to scout around the job market, see what's realistically achievable, and you need your time frames clearly sorted out.
Try contacts first. Your BF can handle the UK end.
While he's doing that, you can also check out the opportunities in IT, or other work.
(Actually I'd suggest sticking to something where the income is more likely to be good, while checking out jobs. UK jobs are scarce, and going downmarket, they're even more competitive.)
You can save yourself a lot of time by just figuring out what you can do within your time frames. If you can find a job, do an interview, and get a sponsorship, and not have to rearrange your entire life to do it, that's probably the right job to go for. This approach automatically removes the really difficult situations. |
