We try to make sure that people don't put any information on the site that puts them at risk.

If you include information which makes you traceable, like using a name which would be easy to find if you live in a small town, or other security risks, it can be a big, nasty, problem.

The situation is that after posting all we can do is try and minimize the risks for you, and reduce the exposure time while that information's online.

People do target under 18s, and that's what you need to keep in mind, when posting anything at all online.

Don't use:

Personal email addresses (You can get spam like you wouldn't believe, if nothing else)
Physical addresses (too risky, any way you look at it)
Full names
Locations

Any legitimate employer will come to you, with information you can check, and you can make sure you know who you're dealing with.

It also means we can check them out. You'll have noticed some of Pauloz's warnings on threads. We do go and look, and we report back to members about possible risks and scams.

The more information they have to give you, the better. Just play safe, if anyone needs that info, they can ask, and they should at least give you some reason to believe they're genuine before you contact them.
