I thought I would draw CVTips Forum members to 2 online CV / Career Profile pages I have put together over the last few months. The internet offers a number of advantages to those with a little HTML experience in being able to adjoin photos and example work to their CVs.

I had the idea a few months ago to scan all of my professional IT certificates and place them under links from the 'professional training' aspect of my CV. I also realised that Microsoft products allow you to save work in HTML format allowing you once again to adjoin work carried out to a link on your online CV.

ADMIN EDIT

I have placed all of my 'O', 'A' and Professional Certificates on my website so that I will never find it difficult to instantly bring up and prove my qualifications. Having on online Career Profile which goes back 21 years (currently) helps to verify work done.

Another option which I have been using for the last 12 months or so is LinkedIn. This is a business networking site (as opposed to social networking) which allows you to enter a summary resume/CV and also allow you to connect with past business colleagues etc. to further validate your career progression. You can also publish your resume with a unique URL (see below) making it a very powerful tool as this published profile is indexed and cached by Google and aother search engines.

Past and present colleagues can also place a recommendation (reference) next to your profile for all to see. You are also allowed upto 3 internet links on your page to link to any other site on the internet. As an example, goto my LinkedIn profile below.
