I am a professional opera singer and voice teacher in the United States (south suburbs of Chicago). I have just finished my master's degree and am looking for a position as a voice teacher at a college or university. Most applications are asking for a CV, resume and demo tape of recent performances. I have a resume and demo tape, but I have no idea how to put together my CV!
Most examples I've seen don't address my field. Should I include a list of performances I've been in? Isn't that what my resume is for? How detailed should I be when listing educational experience (classes taken, performances at school, GPA, research paper titles, etc.)? What information should I cover that's not already on my resume (performance experience, awards, education, and professional affiliations)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
