Hello Everybody. I am Glenwille and I am living in Portugal from the last 7 years. I hold an European Passport. I am deciding to live in London. But for that right now I dont have any idea about how to start with. Just by the way today I came across your webpage. So see If you can help me out in getting a start in
London. I have worked a lot in the IT field but regarding Help Desk experience I have worked for Sapo, Telepac, where I have been linked with “Customer Care” , “Helpdesk” and assisting Supervisional work.Right now I am working with ZON Tv Cabo Portugal (ISP) into which I am a part of an honorable team responsible for analisation and correction which is linked with field work on the spot to provide best results and achieve the target regarding quality and productivity.

I would be glad if any one of you could guide me to get started. As I dont know anyone out there in London. Also I would like to know your opinion whether will I be able to get a job or its difficult now a days? As I have heard from many people that its getting harder day by day to find a job in London. Any kind of advice or help will be appreciated. Thanks for reading my post.

Trying to find a job via internet sources and doing phone interviews would be your first step. Good luck.

Contracting could be an option. - That is you work for yourself and you get a contract from a company to supply your services. http://www.jobserve.com is a good place for that.

I think your skills are quite international and as long as you speak good English, I think you will have no problem finding a job in London.

If I may ask, why do you want to quit Portugal ?

Side Note:
A job is always a job, but London is a very hectic place. A 9 to 5 job in London is not on my top list of ideal jobs. I have never been to Portugal, but this place strikes me as a peaceful place. Good for the heart and soul.

Dear Admin. Thanks for your reply. I shall try all what you told me and have a look at all those links. You asked me a good question. I want to leave Portugal because first of all the salary is less. Secondly language is Portuguese. I speak well in Portuguese but still its an obstacle in my path to success. The boss always gives an excuse that I cant be promoted beacuse I dont know the language. England is near and I can communicate and write well in English. So I thought about UK. There are many other reasons also but I have told you the main reason to leave Portugal. Smile
