Career Objective Trainee Careers Advisor currently studying the QCG in Career Guidance seeking to obtain a challenging and demanding position, to use knowledge and skills gained, to help young people develop their career ideas , as well as to help young people to raise their aspirations and encourage them to gain the qualifications they will need for further education.
I believe I have the skills and life experiences to be an excellent navigator helping young people through the range of choices they face. Although my experience seems limited, I am both a quick learner and someone who is able to adapt quickly. As part of my course I have undertaken a professional placement where I was actively working with young people offering advice and guidance, and was able to demonstrate my knowledge of careers and labour market information as well as young peoples support services. In addition I was able to develop an effective working relationship with a wide range of young people and other outside agencies. Furthermore I was able to design and provide curriculum resources , activities and services to meet student needs.
I aim to be a productive member of an organization by utilizing my skills, for the achievement of organizational and personal growth objectives. I am very hard working, organised and loving being faced with constant challenges to test me. Being a strong starter I welcome responsibility and am organised and effective under pressure.
I look forward to hopefully be able to come to work for you and to motivate those around me. I also have a vast knowledge of equal opportunity issues and a commitment to furthering equality of opportunity for all.

At my placement I was working with a wide range of people, where I was judged to have been helpful in removing obstacles in planning a career, opening doors to education, training and employment opportunities and enabled young people to take control of their own career development. This meant liaising with a variety of organisations, researching information, advising on job searching skills, maintaining resources, as well as keeping accurate records and training the lead on specific projects as required.
At my placement I was successfully demonstrated my ability to work on my own, such as planning and carrying out lessons on career education. In addition i also develop my interview skills further and was successful in passing my placement assessments.

Interests and activities My interests include playing squash and cricket as I like to keep fit, and it helps in developing my personal skills when meeting new people at competitions. Also In my spare time I enjoy trying to help others, by being a volunteer at the local youth club. This has involved organising events, such as sports days, or helping to plan a culture fair to raise charity donations for victims of the Tsunami tragedy. From an early age I have enjoyed read books particularly both fiction and non fiction, particular books on history or spy thrillers. I also take part in local issues, for example helping to organise opposition to the construction of a new large supermarket in the area. Having travelled extensively I have met with a lot of different cultures and as such have come to better my understanding and respect of other cultures as well as enjoy the experience of other cultures.
