I am looking for career advice, I have been trying to post my curriculum vita online in order to have employers find me rather than finding them myself.
I am thinking of building a web page that would have all the details that a CV would have (except the name, address and phone ... just the email)
Would this be a good search strategy of posting my CV online. I work as a barman in London, I have a number of certificates and soon will have won some competitions ... (hopefully).
I am not he standard bar man, I have specialized in cocktails and have some of my own creations I was thinking of copyrighting them as well!!!
Give me your thoughts on posting a CV online on the WWW |

You can post your CV on line, but that should not be your only source of finding a job. Very few people find their jobs on line. You have to do more than just sit around and wait for a job. Finding a job can be more work than the job you actually end up getting.

I think putting your CV online is a good idea, but it's only the first step. You need to think about how other people will find out about your site. There's millions [billions?] of websites out there, what will make people look at yours? It's not like a baseball field - "build it and they will come"
Perhaps some other people here could offer some advice about promoting your VC? |
