Psychometric testing seems to come in two flavors, relevant and ridiculous.
The theory is you give answers as follows: Starting with ABCD as the possibilities, you can answer with a combination which gives them a set result. They may be looking for an A-B response, rather than a C-D.
The combinations are supposed to give a series of checklist-type answers.
Most psychometric testing is looking for a fit between applicant, workplace and job, and it's a highly debatable point how effective it is. It irritates most people, considerably, to be going for a job and to be subjected to a psychological assessment.
The methods vary a lot. Google, for example, has been asking people if they've ever owned a dog, because they've found that dog owners fit better into their workplace culture.
That's a result of asking their entire workforce a series of 300 questions. They found that dog owners fit in better into their workplace culture.
Just give your answers as you see fit, and don't let it bother you too much. |
