Does anyone think that taking courses on line is a good idea? I want to be a journalist and it would be easier for me to learn from home. I'm a single dad and work full time. So I seriously need to study from home.

Has anyone had any positive or negative experiences from on line eduction? Need some advice please.

Thanks to all who reply! Joe

I have had a good experience with online schooling. I have taken the Six Figure Accelerated Writing program from American Writers & Artists Institution. They have worked with me and are very helpful. I have had no problems with them.

I don't know about the other online schools. Hope you the best. MJS

As a general rule if
(1) the "specific online degree" is accredited in the field you are seeking
AND (2)"the universit"y offering the online degree is accredited, you should be ok. There is a slight difference between (1) & (2).

I recommend you do some research in your field & check with the nationwide professional body that covers your field to check accreditation.

There are many reputable institutions offering accredited online programs.

Make sure that the distance education program that you choose is accredited & recognized by the professional organization in your state or country for the field of study that you choose.

So do a thorough research.

Have a look at http://www.kmd-solutions.com/distance_education.htm
