Hello everyone well heres my story.
Im have just turned 23 and I have not had a job since I was 19 I was working at a lawyers back in 2003. I left to study in 2004 and completed my first year but pulled out of the course as I felt i was not right for me.
I was looking to get another job back at the start of 2005 but then I came into some money (It was enough that I didnt have to work and equated to 2 years worth of wages) now I admit having this money and not needing to work I did slack off a bit & I spent one year travelling from mid 2006 to October 2007.
Now I really want to get back into the workforce as I am pretty fed up with being off. My real worry is that I wont get looked at because employers see my last job was in 2003 and I only travelled for one year so that leaves a whole year unnacounted would it sound strange to say I travelled on and off for a 2 year rarther then 1 year period ?
Should I point out the reason why I wasnt in work was because I came into some money and so travelled and how should I word that?
Im just looking for an office job entry level or whatever and I do have some office experience as pointed out before from working int he lawyers.
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you. |

The only problem is what if they get to checking in some way and find out that you are lying? I don't know why people have trouble with the truth. You might have had some job experience in there that you would be omitting by not telling the truth. There's nothing wrong with the traveling that you did , and in the recognition that you have now came to that you need to get back to work and life as normal.
Be honest during yor interview. It will get your far.
