I would answer: "my salary requirements are negotiable"

If you are earning less than their budget, you may miss out on a higher salary.

Let the employer decide to hire you first, then discuss salary. You will be in a much better position to negotiate a higher salary and to secure the position.

    Be prepared to negotiate.

Answer the amount you think is fair for you. You are asking for the payment of your skill you mastered for a long time. Don't demand too high or too low though.

Besides saying your salary requirements are negotiable, you can get around revealing what you have earned from your jobs by saying this is personal - it's up to you if you want to reveal this information upon being hired by them.

    Calculate!

I guess you will have to asses the expected salary on a number of criteria including your past job experience and the previous salary you were getting. If you're looking for a entry level job then you shouldn't expect too much. At that stage experience is more valuable than money.
