Do i need to list all my past job?

Dear Experts,

Thanks in advance for reading my post. I am planning to change my job. But after having drafting my CV and checking it, I realised that there was something not really good.

The problem is that: I am a water and Waste Water Engineer, I began to work in 2000.

From 2000 to 2006: I worked for a big construction corporation.

From 2006 to 2007: I worked for a Import-Export Company, my title was Sales Engineer. After 9 months, I gave up.

From 2007 up to now: I have been working as a specialist in Water treatment field.

Because I have 09 months working as sales, and this did not go with my profession. So i am wondering whether I list this job to my CV or not. I also had 4 years working as part-time sales engineer ( from 2004 to 200 for pump company.

Please help me out. I need your help.

You could tailor your resume based on the job you are applying for... or you can build a solid resume regardless of the job your applying for.

If the current job you are applying for is in sales you could be in for a bit of a challenge if the interviewer can detect that you left so earlier. I'd imagine they would pick up on that very fast. Let me know of the field you are trying to get into.

6 years for a big construction company is pretty good...that shows a decent commitment! Your most recent job is also great. That is still a good time track.

Not everyone like sales. In fact not everyone is good at sales. People know that, I know that, you know that... so don't stress out to much about it. Whatever you do, do not go into the interview with the "I failed in sales" mindset. I would brush it off and make it seem like you learned a lot from that short position. You can just say you realized that your interest really is in "blank" for "these reasons....". Convincing them that the job you are applying to is a perfect match is your real challenge. Never take on a negative attitude in your interview no matter how much you hated a position.

Remember, you can control the interview and your appearance completely. Do not let the interview control you.

I would have to see your resume to go further. Obviously, don't have half your resume focused on the sales job. Leaving it off can cause the employer to wonder what you were doing during that time period. You can also use that short stint as valuable experience.

you should include whole your job history and experience in your resume whether it is directly relevant to your expected job or not, may be they find some skills our of this list which is more favorable to them for some other kind of task. also it will create a good impression of your being an active person.
so do include all your job and experience history in new resume.
