    Need some help

Hey guys I need some help, I am going to be junior in high school, starting tomorrow, and while school is pretty easy for me, and I shouldnt have any trouble graduating, I have started tot hink that maybe I should jjust go ahead and get my GED. and start my career now rather than two years from now. I don't plan on college, I wish to start my own business, starting with a website(posted in website already), and moving to real estate. I know a lot about what I plan on doing with my life career wise, I have been studying investing, real estate and stocks/bonds for a few years, and while I still have much to learn, high school will not help me in these areas. So do you think I should go ahead and get my GED, start a job, maybe two, and start saving up money so I can get into the real estate game, while pursuing my website/small business. The main difference between getting my GED/or Diploma would be---

A.Only thing I like about high school, is the social aspect, I get to see my friends very often.
    B. If I get a GED, I wont get to see my friends as often.
    C. Since I plan on being my own employer, aside from part-time jobs to get starting money, I dont see that a GED is worth any less than Diploma in that job area-I will not be attempting to get a job as a rocket scientist, just movie store clerk type jobs, maybe a delivery man.

So what do you all think?

    no school direct to business

What advice are you looking for ?

You look like you are pretty much set idea wise, does business run in your family ?

I would advise caution, I am not telling do not do it, but use baby steps.
Why don't you get a job as a real estate agent and learn the ropes in the real world or become the personal assistant of an entrepreneur ?

School is always a good investment though, if you end up unsuccessfull school certificates can help you get a job and re build. Thread carefully.

I would certainly second CV's advice. Stay at school!!. You may think you're ready because you've been mildly successful in your investments and dealings in real estate so far. But, and it's a huge but, leave now and you'll be a child in an adult world without any of the social skills and what we call in the UK "nous" (rhymes with house) to succeed. Your eyes will suddenly be opened to things you wouldn't have believed. Start slowly and accumulate experience and then there will be less chance of you having to learn the hard way.

School isn't just about learning algebra and foreign languages. It's the world in miniature and as you get older in school that barrier between school and the outside world becomes a less formidable one to cross. There's a huge chance that ten years down the road you'll regret not finishing off school but at the end of the day it's your choice.

    STAY IN SCHOOL

You need school for any kind of job nowadays. Even at Mcdonalds. they like to see their employees, usually high school kids, enrolled in school. If you quit school and your business fails, then what? you close your doors, options. If you get a GED it's good, but alot of employers are now looking highly at that. Why not finish your school, there's no hurry. You have all your life to work. Right now finish your school go to college major in business and you'll be a better sucessful business owner. School is the door to opportunities. You'll have more job options and more career moves with a degree.

I would also recommend to finish school. Yes, you seem to have a good plan for yourself, but have you ever considered what will happen if your plan. 90% of small businesses fail within the first ten years. Do you want to be a 26 year old, who is bankrupt, and has no high school diploma? In that case you will have to pay for your education, whereas right now you have the next 2 years for free to finish it. You never know what the future will behold, so I would recommend finishing it off, its only two years, and you will always have it there as a backup in case your business ever fails.

Poll To Stay in School or Not

I would vote for you to stay in school. You'll never have these days again. When you get older you'll remember your last year in high school the most. Make it the best time you ever had, before you have to face the daily routine of the "work world." All the Best To Your Plans and Endevours!!
