What is the most common exageration in Resumes ?
We agree that most people tune their resume to the job they are applying for.

I would have to say that lying about the reason for leaving is the most common, with accomplishments being a close second. The reason I think leaving is slightly ahead, because typically people leave jobs, even jobs they love, under somewhat of bad circumstances. They don't want to (and don't necessairly deserve) have employers focus on the leaving, but rather all the good work they did during the job, so they lie about the reason for leaving. Lying about your accomplishments is also common, but its a bit harder to strech, as accomplishments tend to have more concrete proof behind them, which can be backchecked to prevent lying.
