    Salary

I am in agreement that you should first research your going rate so to speak in your locality. Now if once you have found this you feel you deserve more, you had better be able to prove that worth. Do you have special trainings, accredidations or something that sets you apart. Do not be bashful, but be realistic. Set your sights too low and they will not value you. Too high and they will not take you seriously!

Good luck, and to the lost person above looking for a new career, click my link below.

    GOT one for ya...

Ok, So here is the deal. Yesterday I went for an interview to become the manager of a extremely unique adventure thrill ride attraction. There is only one other one of these in the world.

Today I went in for a second interview. I did well (atleast I think so) and I was informed of a third phone interview with the person who does what I am applying to do (there is only one remember, so very specialized).

Upon acceptance of that interview, I would then assume a job offer would follow (we have yet to even bring up dollars yet).

So the question(s) I have are:

    1. Do I dare ask the "would be counterpart" what he makes?

    2. What kind of dollar amount for something like this is too much? too little? I really have no starting point except for what I currently make. This position I am applying for is much more complex and has more responsability then my last as well?

Any thoughts? Thanks for your quick replys.

I would probably wait until they make you a job offer, then your negotiation skills will come in handy. Depending on your personal circumstances, you would then make a counter offer.... etc. Have a look at http://www.kmd-solutions.com/salary_...on_example.htm
