Your best bet is to apply to as many jobs as you can.

It doesn't have to be the job you'll have forever. Just something for a year or 2 so you can get some better recommendations and work your way up from there.

    Don't give up.

    Hi abhisharma59,

If you'd like to study and get a government or bank job, then try showing your father how much more you will earn with those jobs. If you write out a plan demonstrating how much you expect to make once you get a job, compared to what you will earn with an entry-level or low-wage job, he might be more open to letting you spend another year studying. Also, consider agreeing to getting a part-time job so you can still make some income. Even though it's not always easy studying and working at the same time, a lot of people do it, and it might be what gets your father to agree to let you pursue a career in government or banking.

    Good luck!

    Hi Abhisharma,

Could you explain, please what you mean by official work? Why is marketing not "official"?
Also, I'm not sure how long the work would be for during the day, but there is lots of time in the day. You must make studying a priority if you take the job.
I have a day job (biologist), and a family, and a small farm, and I have 2 other (part-time) careers as well. You have just as many hours in the day as I do. I do realize that life is likely way different in India than it is in Canada, but the point I am trying to make is that you must determine what you want to do. You must decide what gives you joy; what brings out your passion. And then you must prioritize for that. Your parents cannot make you do anything that is not right for you. You are the ruler of your life. You must choose.

    Be creative

The first thing you must do its to know the nature of the job you intend to do and how you can fit it in alignment with the several values you stated. What is your dream career that you want? Don't do anything to please anyone because at the end you will be the one to go through the unpleasant experience of the job and life. You can build your dream career despite the odds facing you, don't give up

I agree with the person who said to be creative. It seems to me that as the economy becomes "worse", the quality of being creative is becoming more and more necessary to create value, network better, innovate, etc.
