1. Strong CV – you can visit www.sampleofcv.co.uk for templates, advise and
samples of professional CV’s
2. Work experience – make sure you have the relevant experience and requirements
for the role
3. Skills – anyone can say I have great communication skills but prove it!!!!!! i.e.
when I undertook the Duke of Edinburgh award I lead my team ensuing
communication and team work was key to complete our tasks.
4. Apply for roles – don’t wait for someone to contact you. Applying for jobs can be
an arduous task and take up to 6 hours a time so concentrate hard and spend time
getting it right.
5. Contact – don’t be afraid to contact a company or agency to check on progress and
if you speak directly with the company, this gives you a chance to sell yourself.
