Where and How does a 14 year old go about getting a job

Hi, my name is Henry and I am 14. I have trawled the internet for a job for a few weeks in the summer holidays. I cant find one anywhere. I really need some help I live in London and I would like a job for a few weeks in the summer.

Looking around the internet probably isn't the right approach. Since you're 14 you probably don't have the transport to commute from your home to your job, so you have to find something nearby. Check in with the shops that are nearby and see if they need help on saturdays during the summer.

Talk to people you know. Someone might be able to help you track down a job or, if you lucky, you may even know someone who is in a position to give you one.

But most importantly, figure out what sort of job you are willing to do? Are you willing to deliver newspapers? Do you want to work in a shop? Or do you want to offer your computer skills and build some websites? There are plenty of things you can do, but it's easier to find the right job if you know exactly what you're looking for.
