I would really appreciate if I could find someone experienced in writing/editing CV's with a speciality in the construction industry. I am a recent University graduate, holder of a BSc in Quantity Surveying and a MSc in Construction Project Management from Universities in the UK.
I am really struggling writing my CV since I lack work experience, and I feel that my CV is really empty. I have taken different opinions from my tutors etc; and they have told me that I need to try and focus on my University years and present the skills I have grasped throughout my studies. Even then I feel it will be very hard to secure an interview since most employers are looking for work experience.
At the moment I am short on cash, and can't afford to spend it on a CV writing service, so anyone willing to provide me with some tips or help me get something solid by showing me how can I produce something for my needs would be really appreciated.
We don't have construction-specific experience, but between me and some of the other forum posters, there is a lot of free CV expertise to be had here. Feel free to post your CV here for review. Just because you don't have work experience doesn't mean you can't be hired. Otherwise, no one would get hired out of university.
I also recommend that you not post private information such as your email address in public forums. I'm not sure if you're able to edit your post, but if you aren't, let me know, and I'll edit out that info in your original post.
