I don't think it is that most people will not hire you because they think you won't work, it has a lot to do with the law--most places can't hire until someone is at least 15 or 16, some even older. That's probably the biggest issue. However, that does not mean that you can't find some ways to make money, such as a paper route, dog walking, babysitting, or something else.
