NEED ADVICE! CV PREDICAMENT

I had studied for a one year Masters course during the year 2006-2007. However due to some personal problems I could not clear the final examination in 2007 but have cleared them this year.

How do I tackle this one year lag in my academics?

What would be the best way to mention this the CV? or is there any other way to deal with this predicament?

I WOULD BE REALLY VERY GRATEFUL IF SOMEONE COULD GUIDE ME.

You could just list it as 'Studied for Masters, completed in 2008' and leave it at that. I'm sure any questions they have, they can ask you in an interview. How are they to know it was a one year masters class unless you say it was? I wouldn't tell them that in your CV.

In the legal industry in UK, they would usually know that a masters course is for a period of one year. Though I have cleared with a 2:1 (Merit) this time, yet my predicament remains the explanation and presentation of such a period in the CV.
