Ive read the books, but I would like to know if there is any actual interview footage (dvd, mpeg, video clips) of actual interviews. Actually watching an interview in progress is EXTREMELY informative. I went to the local library & they had "how to interview" vhs & dvd's, but when i watched them, it was 15 min long, ridiculous, extremely basic & the main people interviewing were 15 & 16 year old teenagers. (Im assuming thats who they were targeting). Does anyone know of any interview video(s) that are available out there that are geared to professionals & resemble a more realistic interview & porfessional interview, & where i can view them?

Thank you

So you've read some books, you'e watched some crappy 15 minutes videos and you didn't get too much from them, right? Well....this happens often, because products like those, especially videos, are made just for one purpose. To attract clients , thus to attract money Very Happy The quality is always under question....
What can I say...if you really want to see what's all about with the interviews, have some Very Happy

Hi Job,

I work in the employment arena and have recently watched a video showing good & bad interview techniques. It is used to show job seekers how to conduct themselves and what to expect in an interview...it's ok. The only problem is that it is about 20 years old. I may be able to copy it and forward it to you. It doesn't belong to me but i will see what I can do.

Listen, most interview video footage consists of already made interviews. Not live, but edited, meaning how a proper interview should look like. From my point of view, they are not realistic. And a real interview...I doubt you'll ever find one, it is not legal to tape the interview. Unless the interviewed person agrees.

How about reading some books instead?

Hi Job16!

I'm surprised that nobody suggested to you to watch some simulations on the internet so far.
I would suggest on www.YouTube.com you will find lots of stuff. Some interview simulations are very informative and educational, other ones are funny and inappropriate - but there is lots to see and learn from.
Have also a look at www.Videojug.com a similar homepage .... they have just serious and educational material. I would say this will help you a lot.
Hope it helps.
