Hi All

I have been working within a company for 5 months(probationary period) in a managerial position and i got fired because of personality issues.
This position has been a key experience for my career and i would really like to put it on my CV, but i don`t know how i can justify the end of my employement to the recruiters, and in a way i wouldn`t prefer them to contact my old employer not because of my competences but because he will tell them that i got fired which is not something to be proud of.
I am lost and very tempeted to lie, which i hate doing.
Please help!

Hi goshi,

You can either choose a right way to do things, that's honesty:

Or....you can lie about it and make up some circumstances. But I recommend the first option, because usually the liar is caught when he expects less.
Good luck!

PS Don't be afraid of using the true version of the story, because nowadays employers are interested in far more important things.

This article might be helpful also. Dorothea is right, being truthful is better than being caught in a lie. Lots of times this doesn't come up until a second interview or well into an initial one. Do your best to display positive attributes of your personality and when the issue comes to the surface, most likely the interviewer will already have formed their ownopinion of you, and that matters more.
