This year I am finishing my degree in economics , I am not sure if I should take a gap year now or in 5 years time. I am a bit worried about my job prospects.
I have already tried looking for an internship or a job but in the region there are 30 people doing the same degree so there is a lot of supply for this skill.
Money wise I am lucky to say I can afford a gap year career wise not sure...
Should I risk it and go off to South America to reflect upon my future life or jump into the urban jungle and start my duties as a productive citizen ? |

How would you feel about taking that year to devote to a worthy cause? You can reflect all you want, gain some great skills, meet people who might know someone in your field - - and see a part of the world that you desire to see.
Volunteering looks great on a resume and the skills you learn might just be the ticket you need to break into your chosen field. Many non-profit organizations would love to have someone with your knowledge volunteer their time (so it's a win-win proposition.)
Does that sound like something you would be interested in?
