|
|
I have just turned 45 and was wondering if signing up with job agencies was worth it for my age. Within the past year, I have signed up with many job agencies. They had me to do all the test, they checked my references.
It's been a year and I have never heard from any of them but one. That didn't go well. Until last year I worked steady and the company I worked for had to cut back, at least that what they said.
Has anyone over 40 had this kind of experience? Please send some feedback.
Thanks Frank G |

I heard of lot of people of your age that had positive experiences with job agencies.
But what I suggest you is to not put all your eggs in a single basket; sign up with job agencies, but in the same read the newspapers ads, send CVs to companies in your area of expertise, etc. |

45 is not the end of the world and I have never heard of specific agencies to deal only with middle aged people.
You need a positive attitude. That can work wonders when you want something. In the Bible says "Ask and you will receive. Imagine that you have already have what you need and you will receive it faster" (excuse my pure translation , but understand the idea. |
