Just be careful you don't wind up getting a job that uses up time and doesn't make enough money. The trouble with being 13 is that you're not legally allowed to do some jobs, and the ones you can do require parental permission. From the sound of it, you might be able to find some work in local retail, or jobs like casual work for neighbors, or local businesses.
You'll find more work if you ask directly. Check out the places you'd really prefer to work. See what's available, and don't be too disappointed if you're too young for what they have. You might actually be able to set yourself up for some work when you're older, so it won't be wasted time, anyway.
Important: Some of these jobs, if you stick at them for a while, can give you really useful skills for getting other jobs, later. It's worth going looking for a job that goes somewhere, where you can learn a lot, and get some real work experience. That makes you a lot more competitive, when you're going for part time and full time jobs.
When you do get a job, volunteer to learn more about it. That will definitely give you a few extra skills, and those skills translate into more work and better jobs. |
