In my country, many people used to drink coffee to increase working efficiency( Especially women who work in international marketing/export , some of them are addicted in drinking coffee),but I don't think it's a good way. Because caffeine will crippling our health.
How do you keep good working efficiency even though there're so many interruptions everyday?
I know there are so many books that teach people to do thier job better; if you can share your own ideas about this, it will be highly appreciated. |

There;s no such thing as "I possess the secret of successfull life and career" so books like those leave be "cold". It's all about how you manage to organize your priorities. If you are a responsible person, you will definitely know how to organize eveerything you do at work in such way to obtain efficiency.
My recip[e doesn't include any additives like coffee (yeah, I drink coffee but for pleasure, not because I feel tired and need to wake up...as a matter of fact, cvoffee has no effect on me) or various pills (lecitine, vitamins etc). But I tend to maintain myself healthy by eating appropriately and drinking water. Sports help me (when I have time) and pleasant extra activities, like going out. I do believe things like these help you become more focused at work.
Still.....I think you're actually looking for other types of...let's call them tips...It's not enough just to mix up skills. You have to train them continually and to evoluate. This is efficiency...learning new things, updating your computer (or other) skills, allways be one step ahead. |

Oh, I do it the old-fashioned way: I stay focused on all the petty politics and crap going on around me. That leads to being in continued state of mild anger all day/night, and that's all I need to keep me going.
And there's this:
Since I've never, ever had an employer expect more from me than I demand of myself, it's now a game to see how upset I can make my employer by always "over-achieving." THEY hate that and that keeps me going!
It's all about focus. I simply don't understand the concept of "bored." If I'm awake, vertical, and concious, my wiring and body chemisty won't let me get "bored." (Then again, I'm lucky if I sleep four hours a night. Shouldn't peed on that electric fence when I was a kid....) |

You are right about maintaining the interest in your job. But look at this...there are so many people who would work in a place just because they have nowhere else to go, or just because they are good at something they don't particularly like and want to do for the rest of their life. I had a colleague who lacked creativity and spontaneity, but she was one heck of an executant. Meaning were she said to do something, she'd do it better than anyone. I hope you understand what I'm refering to.
Anyway, my personal opinion is that one cannot work at his full potential if he hasn't got the conditions necessary for that. I'm refering to a decent workplace, a job he likes, nice colleagues, not too many conflicts but a lot of competition. Stuff like that. Do what you like to do and what you're good at and you'll increase efficiency for sure. |
