Currently i am writing a cover letter for my CV, BUT its a general Covering letter to go to a number of places. With this in mind i have tried to make it as vague as possible only relating to the type of work i want to be in. i would like to get your opinions on this.

Dear Sir/Madam
Enclosed is my C.V with the prospect of gaining a job at your company. The role I would like to apply for Is Sales Assistant or Warehouse Assistant.

I really don't know what else to put, i know covering letters are not suppose to be too long but this is barely 2 lines..

Make yourself a general one, and then add/delete a few lines to personalise it to each place that you apply to for best effect. See the article below for help in writing a cover letter for yourself:
