Coming from N.Y.C. to Miami has made me think about stereotypes in our society. In NYC there is no problem with job interviews because everyone understands there are different cultures and people living there. In the South there is a problem with this. The problem with job interviews in the South is racism. Racism still lingers to a large degree. Does it come more from the clothing you wear, or what race you are?

It can come from both, as interviewers are only human and have their own personal biases. The only way you can try to insulate yourself against these types is to dress professional and go to the interview well prepared, giving it your best shot.
