Who do you address a cover letter to if you're applying to a job through a company website and no one is listed?

I would try to find out some way--even if you call the company or research them a bit beyond that job advertisement. Sometimes, the best you can do is a gender neutral address such as 'Dear Hiring Manager:'

It is best if you can find out the identity of this mystery person, however. Cool
