Cashcrate is a very controversial thing. There are many people who say it's a scam, and there are a lot of people who say it isn't.

In fact there are so many people with blogs saying it's not a scam, you have to wonder why they're trying so hard. "Methinks they doth protest too much", in effect.

That's not encouraging, because a lot of known scams have paid supporters saying they're not scams. I've seen that myself in various industries, from people I know are scams.

One common factor, and it doesn't make a lot of sense for a web based business. A lot of pro-Cashcrate blogs post pictures of checks from Cashcrate on their sites as proof of Cashcrate's non-scam credentials.

But they're paper checks. A check isn't worth anything, unless it's cleared. This doesn't look like "Your check is in the mail" so much as "Your picture of a check is in the mail".

Why isn't a web business doing business like normal people online, and using PayPal or some other verifiable third party? The security alone, let alone the speed of snail mail, is questionable. These checks aren't for big money, either. Check clearance can take a while, too.

You'd think, if Cashcrate were delivering huge amounts of business, they'd be making a big deal out of how much money they pay out to their loyal users as a selling point. That's not happening, and it hasn't been happening in the two years I've been aware of Cashcrate.

Cashcrate itself is a bit more modest about its claims than its supporters. It doesn't claim to be making millionaires out of people. http://cashcrate.com/

However-

A "job", this isn't. In terms of return on effort, you could play the slots at Vegas, too. Don't mistake this for a second income, even if it is legit. You may or may not get some spending money.

If you sign up for anything which is supposed to be paid for, you should get paid, preferably not by prehistoric means. The main claims against Cashcrate are about non payment. That's your real worry.

Like any other business online or offline, do your research before jump into any business. This will help insure that you are going into something legitimate and won't be sorry towards the end.
