| my brother is going to open a small company and has asked me to work for him (first with the same salary that I have at my actual job, and later we will see); but I don't know what to do.. is it a good idea to work with your brother as your boss? I mean, now we get along just fine, but in the future? |

Working with family or friends can be rewarding, but can be stressful.
I suggest that you evaluate it just as you would a job offer. Have an interview. Ask him questions about expections, career path.... etc. He should also ask you questions that are important to the business... If you are both satisfied with the results, agree on a salary & have a written agreement. |

Thanks for the quick answer KA.
We will definitely have a written agreement, but I just don't know... It seem a bit awkward. I mean I am thinking that we will work together, him being the boss, ant than we meet during the weekends as family; And so far I have always though that family and job should stay separated. I am thinking what will happen if I will have a different opinion on something regarding work? Will that be reflected in our family relationship?
It'd help me if there are others among you who have experienced something like that abd can give me some pros and cons. |
