Persons functioning in hard count spots in the casino tally the coins, enfold them in a plastic holder, and count coins for banking purposes and for sending them to the casino floor. The soft counters work with notes. The hard count clerks work in hard the count safe where there are no interruptions. This is a basic casino job that requires no previous experience, though previous bank or cashier work is an advantage. The counting manager supervises the hard count clerks. You must have excellent mathematical abilities and be able to work fast. It is a routine job and not suited for someone that gets bored easily. There are no tips or bonuses and the pay is around $6 to $8 an hour.
