I hope that you will consider my application for the teaching assistant position advertised in the Herald Newspaper. Middle school children bring a host of interesting challenges and I am well prepared to deal with all of them. This age group is very impressionable and they need to have an excellent learning environment in order to flourish. The teaching assistant can play a very important part in making that happen.

My qualifications should be evident from the enclosed resume. I have worked for more than 15 years in the middle school at XYZ School. My experiences include tutoring, organizing daily activities, and keeping students on task. XYZ School uses computer exercises to reinforce classroom learning, and I have been helpful with that also. I have also enjoyed working with a variety of teachers over the years and have done so with very little friction.
