I was referred to you by Mr. James Cole, CEO of Bender International. Mr. Cole told me of the managerial opening at your company, and I am highly interested in applying for this position. Review of my credentials should show why I would be the ideal candidate for this position.
As you can see on my resume, the past eleven years of my career have been spent in two companies. The first company, based in China, was where I learned to rely on my staff to help me through problems I was not familiar with. The second company, a marketing firm in Chicago, was where I realized the value of research and dedication.
During my employment at the marketing firm in Chicago, the company saw an increase in sales of 23%. This was the largest increase in a three year period they had ever had. I believe it was because of my organizational and leadership talents that this increase achieved. Through multi-tasking and attention to deadlines, my team of twelve and I successfully obtained and completed some very challenging projects.

Mr. Cole mentioned to me that you are looking for a bi-lingual candidate proficient in Spanish and English. I am, in fact, tri-lingual: English, Spanish, and Mandarin. I lived in Mexico for two semesters during college, and I believe that experience has helped me immensely in my language skills.
