The cover letter is normally placed in the body of the email and the CV attached if so requested. Rather than attaching the CV in PDF. format, do so as a normal document. Many employers don’t like to receive PDF documents. Send a copy to yourself before you mail your cover letter and CV to see how the recruiter will view it. Make the necessary changes and do so again until you are happy with the results.
