How can I provide references or list my previous employer on my CV if I was fired?

Approach your previous employer for a reference. Explain that you would like to apply for another job and that you would appreciate his assistance. You can also ask someone who worked with you to provide a letter of recommendation based on something you did well at the job or even just act as reference for you. You can still state the previous employer as part of your job history on your CV, but note that references are available upon request.
