How can I disguise a work that I did for a long period, which I would rather not mention on my CV?

Many people did jobs which they would rather not mention, for instance, strip dancing etc. If you also did other more corporate presentable work, focus on that. You may consider another description or title for the position, for instance with strip dancing, you can use entertainment dancer. You can include a note at the end of the CV to say that further details are available upon request.
