How should I conduct a job search if I served time?

Many people, who served time, face the dilemma of employers not wanting to hire them. Large and medium size corporations won’t even let you in the door. Government positions are normally not available to people with felonies but smaller companies will hire you. You should thus focus your job search on small companies. You can also try temporary work agencies and any unskilled work to build references. Join a community or volunteer project to show that you have indeed turned away from crime and to build a network of contacts and references. When asked about the conviction, just state for what and that you have been rehabilitated in full.
