I am thinking of leaving my home country to look for work where do I start?
Research the countries where you would like to work. Find out what types of workers are in demand, and what the work requirements are. You also need to know what qualifications are needed. Brush up on the required language skills and start training in the field that you want to work in. If you are for instance interested in a teaching post, a TEFL certification may be required to work in another country. Make use of the Internet to find the information and overseas accommodation and employment. Draw up your budget to include costs of transport, hotels and accommodation when you have to go for interviews. Try to schedule at least three or four interviews in the same town or country to reduce costs.
