During a typical day in physical therapist assistant work, an individual will engage in a number of activities with physical therapy patients. The physical therapist assistant will watch the patients perform their physical therapy exercises on a regular basis. When she notices a patient doing something wrong, the assistant will give him tips and help him complete the exercises correctly. The assistant might also massage muscle tissue for injured individuals. She will take notes on the treatments and report her findings to the physical therapist. The assistant will also answer important questions for the physical therapy patients as needed.
