What is a physical therapist workday like?

During a typical day performing physical therapist work, a therapist will interact with patients and help them recover from injuries and accidents. The therapist will observe patients and look at their medical histories. A therapist will put patients through tests in order to determine their ranges of motion, strength and balance. After the therapist tests each individual, she will develop a treatment plan for the patient to follow. The therapist will also spend some time showing the patient how to do the exercises in his program. Physical therapists also manage physical therapist assistants who work below them.
