What is a typical workday like at an ophthalmologist job?

When working in an ophthalmologist job, an individual will engage in many duties throughout a given day. She will spend a great deal of her time seeing patients either at her own clinic or another location. The ophthalmologist will spend time with each patient, diagnosing his eye conditions and prescribing a particular type of treatment. When the ophthalmologist is not seeing patients in the clinic, she will be spending part of her time consulting with other medical professionals. An ophthalmologist also spends a good portion of her day conducting eye surgery procedures on her patients.
