What is a typical workday like at an orthopedic surgeon job?

When working in an orthopedic surgeon job, an individual will engage in a number of different activities throughout the day. The orthopedic surgeon will most likely be in charge of managing the orthopedic surgery department and will oversee all of the nurses and other physicians in that department. The surgeon will also be in charge of evaluating patients' needs and determining if patients need surgery. If it is determined that an individual needs orthopedic surgery, the surgeon will have to step in and operate. This could include surgery on a spine, joints or bone fractures.
